LEICESTER — A farmer burning out some hedgerows drew attention to his project after high winds kicked up smoke that could be seen from miles away.
Local fire departments from Geneseo, York , and Caledonia were placed on standby as a result of the fire which was never out of control.
According to our newspartner 13WHAM a wind advisory has been issued for Livingston County through 7 a.m. Thursday with potential gusts up to 50 mph.
The hedgerows were right along the Genesee Valley Greenway, near the Tired Iron Tractor Museum.
