LIVONIA – The Hemlock Fair contest results are in, and this year’s winners, human and animal alike, can take a bow.
The contests, as ever, put the region’s best in agriculture and animal husbandry on a pedestal.

“Congratulations to all Hemlock Fair 4-H Animal Show exhibitors on a great fair,” said the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Livingston County (CCE). “Thank you to the volunteers and parents who helped to make it all possible. Below are the results of the beef and dairy animal shows, as well as the Grand Master Showmanship Contest.”
The official results are as follows:
Cloverbud Showmanship Participant: Brady Wood. Senior Showmanship: 1st Place – Nick Wood; 2nd Place – Kaleena Andress. Junior Showmanship: 1st Place – Ben Lyness; 2nd Place – Haley Wood. Novice Showmanship: 1st Place – Madison Nardi. Master Showman: Ben Lyness. Reserve Master Showman: Nick Wood. Grand Champion Market Beef: Faith Wood. Reserve Champion Market Beef: Nick Wood. Best of Show: Ben Lyness (Hereford Junior Yearling Heifer). Reserve Best of Show: Nick Wood (Market Steer).
Cloverbud Showmanship Participants: Jack DeVito, Brady Wood, & Cameron Wood. Senior Showmanship: 1st Place – Emma Swyers; 2nd Place – Emily Slade. Junior Showmanship: 1st Place – Haley Wood; 2nd Place – Faith Wood. Master Showman: Emma Swyers. Reserve Master Showman: Emily Slade. Jr. Holstein Champion: Reese DeVito (Spring Heifer Calf). Jr. Holstein Reserve Champion: Emily Slade (Fall Heifer Calf). Jr. Grade Champion: Emma Swyers (Spring Heifer Calf). Supreme Champion: Reese DeVito (Spring Heifer Calf).
Grand Master Showmanship Participants: Rabbit – Madison Nardi, Cavy – Emmalynn Schleede, Poultry – Ben Lyness, Beef – Nick Wood, Sheep – Heidi Phelps, Swine – Connor Rodwell, Dairy – Emma Swyers, Goat – Leah Watkins.

Other animal shows included swine, sheep, goat, rabbit, cavy, poultry and dog.
