LIVINGSTON COUNTY
The Livingston County Department of Health, Noyes Health and the Genesee Valley Health Partnership are in the process of conducting a community health assessment in order to optimize local public health services.According to a press release from the Department of Health, this joint Community Health Assessment is set to be complete by December 2016, and the public is invited to provide input regarding health concerns facing Livingston County. “Community feedback is a valuable part of the community health assessment and community health improvement planning efforts,” said the Department of Health.
A summary of health needs in the county have been gathered over the last six months and is available for the public’s review and comment here.
Included in this assessment are the following: data analysis conducted by Finger Lakes Health System Agency (FLHSA) around health data affecting the region completed in February 2016, focus groups of key community members conducted by S2AY Staff throughout the months of March through May and a survey distributed to Human Service Agency leads in Livingston County to assess the public health system as a whole.
