LIVINGSTON COUNTY — Halloween is almost here. For those in the county who want to make spooky decorations with their kids, but don’t want to make a mess in their home, several places in the county are offering decoration-making classes throughout the month.
This Thursday, Oct. 11, the Chip Holt Nature Center at Lakeville’s Vitale Park will hold a Halloween decoration-making event at 7 p.m. There is a $5 materials fee to participate. Those wishing to attend the session must preregister by calling Cornell Cooperative Extension Livingston County at 658-3250.
The Dansville Public Library’s annual pumpkin painting event occurs on Saturday, Oct. 20. The event is open to kids ages 3 to 12. Please call the library at (585) 335-6720 for more information.
On Thursday, Oct. 25, Geneseo’s Wadsworth Library will have a Halloween party. Kids will watch “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,” followed by games, a craft, and snacks. Costumes are encouraged. The event is open to children pre-k and up and registration is not required.
