NUNDA — Aaron Dudley, 26, was sentenced to two years in state prison after menacing a police officer in an incident that brought rare violence to the Nunda community.

Thursday in court Dudley pled guilty to charges of menacing a police officer, and waived the right to have a trial.
On May 14, Dudley allegedly became irate at a construction site left and returned with a rifle, and threatened various people in the area.
Livingston County Sheriff Deputy Ryan Swanson responded to the scene. Upon arrival Dudley pointed his rifle at Swanson. Swanson convinced Dudley to surrender the weapon, which he did without further incident.
Dudley plead guilty to the charges Thursday, and will be sentenced October 3 and will remain in custody at Livingston County Jail without bail.
