The court had to skip over his case once because he refused to come out of the inmate holding area, but Andrew Inabinet, 53, eventually pled guilty to Possession of Prison Contraband in the First Degree, a D felony, saying that he is upset that he will have to return to the Livingston County courthouse at a later date for sentencing.
“I apologize for [Inabnet] not coming immediately out here,” said Inabinet’s lawyer, David Wade. “He doesn’t want to come back here for sentencing. That is the cause of his slightly ornery behavior.”
Inabinet admitted that in February 2015 he illegally possessed a fiberglass rod in prison.
According to the NYS Department of Correctional Services, Inabnet has felony convictions for Robbery and Grand Larceny starting in 1987.
He is currently in custody at Sullivan Correctional Facility in Fallsburg, New York.
Inabinet will return to the courthouse before Judge Dennis Cohen for sentencing after the return of a pre-sentence investigation.
