DANSVILLE – The Dansville ArtWorks Main Street gallery will be a beacon to thirsty shoppers looking for unique, hand-made artistic gifts this Thursday.
According to a press release from Dansville Artworks, on Dec. 10, shoppers can browse their gift shop and Tis the Season exhibit, which has many 2D and 3D pieces for sale, including a chess table, chandelier, jewelry and pottery sets, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., and enjoy samples of locally brewed beers while gift purchases are wrapped for free.
The gift shop will as always have pottery, jewelry, handbags, ornaments, décor, baskets, and prints to peruse.
RailHead Brewing Company out of Hornell will provide the beer samples.
RailHead, which opened in 2014, is named to pay homage to the industry which came to define Hornell, while acknowledging the long history of brewing in the city. Water was always the ‘secret’ of the beer that was made in Hornell and continues to be consistently soft and ideal for brewing today. Access to the rail certainly helped the Maple City become an ideal location for a regional brewery for many years. RailHead Brewing Co.’s location is right where hundreds of rail cars once stood eager for far off places. Just as a ‘railhead’ is the beginning or the end of a rail line, the owners of RailHead see the brewery as the beginning of a line and are eager to see where that line will go.
Dansville ArtWorks is located at 178 Main Street in downtown Dansville, adjacent to Dogwood Trading Company. The gallery features exhibited art, a gift shop, and an art supply department. Workshops and events are also hosted at the gallery. Call (585) 633-0019 for hours or visit their website here.
