Golf Tournament benefits Veterans Outreach Center

GENESEO — The Veterans Outreach Center was presented a check from the Geneseo VFW Post 5005, and American Legion Post 271.

The 3rd annual benefit golf tournament was held at the Livingston Country Club on Monday to benefit the Veterans Outreach Program.

The Geneseo VFW post 5005, and American Legion post 271 presented a check in the amount of $5000 to the Veterans Outreach Center at the tournament.

“They do an awful lot for the veterans in our community,” Adjutant Ron Long said.  

Established in 1973, The Veterans Outreach Center is a nonprofit organization that is devoted to serving the needs of veterans and their families. The services provided to the veterans and their families include temporary financial assistance, legal counseling, peer to peer mentoring, residential programs, and certified alcohol and substance abuse services.

“Veterans Outreach Center is proud to be among this community, which is one of the very best in the nation in supporting our veterans and military families,”said Alexis Ganter, spokesperson for the Veterans Outreach Center. “The Geneseo VFW Post 5005 and American Legion Post 271 are examples of just how generous this community is.”
