DANSVILLE– Members of the SPCA are searching for the individual(s) responsible for killing four goats in the Dansville/West Sparta area. Local SPCA officer Dylan Chase said that these four goats were all shot in the same location, all within 40 days of each other.
“There were two shots to the stomach on each of them and they were left to bleed to death,” said Chase. “It should be an alarm to our community.”
Chase expressed that not only animals are harmed by these killers, but owners as well. “Our pets mean something to us,” added Chase.
Before further harm is done within this community, Chase is asking for anybody with information to contact the SPCA at 585-204-0738. The call will be confidential, although vital information will be shared with the state police to be sure that the harm done is rightfully handled. A $2,500 reward has been offered to anybody that presents information leading to an arrest.
