Wine connoisseurs and curious tasters alike can turn in their tickets for tasting glasses at the Marquee starting at 4p.m. and walk at their leisure through several Main Street businesses, tasting wine and cheese. The Marquee will be lit up and especially for the occasion.
“It will be a really great weekend because there is a wonderful concert in the park that evening,” said Angel Berry of GMA. “People can walk straight down Main Street tasting wine, then go see the concert at the end.”
Many local wineries will offer their wines for tasting, including Deer Run, Raymoor Estate Cellars, Wagner Vineyards, and Hazlitt Winery.
Wine tasters might also check out the Finger Lakes Opera in Wadsworth Auditorium on the SUNY Geneseo campus, starting at 7:30.
Wine tasters have to be 21 years old or older, but everyone is welcome to try the cheese.
Tickets are available at the Not Dot Shop, Frugal Fashionista, Image Empire Salon, Uptown Tan, Brows, Brazilians & Bikinis, and the Valley Liquor Shop, and online at www.geneseoshops.com.
