GENESEO – The Geneseo girls’ volleyball team put in a strong performance to sweep Avon 25-12, 25-15, 25-14.
Geneseo Sr. Sam Hammond logged 8 kills with Sr. Rachael Nicholls adding 17 digs. Avon’s Olivia Krick contributed 13 digs. This win brings Geneseo’s record to 2-1, while Avon is 1-2.
“We stuck to our game plan of serving aggressively from the beginning” said coach Chris Butera. “We were able to take advantage of every mistake they made.”
Geneseo’s next match is at Cal-Mum on September 11 at 6p.m. Avon will play at home against Hornell on the same night.
