GENESEO- Geneseo’s undefeated girls volleyball team remained unbeaten, after a tough, 4-game Senior Night victory over York.
The Lady Blue Devils coasted in the first 2 games of the match by twin 25-13 counts, but the Golden Knights roared back to take the third, 25-20. Geneseo would take an early lead in Game 4, only to see York rally back to pick up 2 game points as they looked to force a decisive 5th game. Geneseo would summon one more surge, fending off those game points and eventually prevailing, 27-25.
Geneseo (17-0, 7-0 Livingston) got 30 assists from Maggie Wheeler, along with 12 kills and 3 blocks from Jordan Welch.
Maggie Prentice tallied 16 digs and 5 blocks for York (10-8, 3-5 Livingston).
