GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: Geneseo Defeats Rival Cal-Mum in 5-Game Win

GENESEO – Geneseo avenged an early season loss with a five-game win over divisional rival Cal-Mum.

Final scores rested at Geneseo 25-25-17-23-25, and Cal-Mum 22-23-25-25-21.

“I’m proud of the way the girls fought for everything tonight. We are usually the smaller team on the court and tonight was no different. We were able to keep our discipline and make the big play when we needed it. The match was another great one with Cal-Mum and fun to be apart of. It’s a testament to the great volleyball being played in Livingston County.”

Stat leaders for Geneseo were Stefanie Ledwith with 29 assists and Alison Meyers with 13 kills.

Stat leader for Cal-Mum was Andrea Coyle with 20 kills.

Geneseo is now 10-3 for the season.

Cal-Mum is now 11-2 for the season.
