Both goals came in the second hall. Vicki Finn struck first for the Blue Devils at the 26th minute and Kayla Heineman tied it for the Raiders 10 minutes later.
“Overall, I was happy with how we played. Particularly in the second half and overtime. It took us longer than I’d like to get used to playing on the turf. Clearly, that presents a disadvantage to us having only played one time on the turf this season. Heading into the final two weeks of the regular season we’re more than just a little aware that we could have to see Cal-Mum in the sectional tournament.” stated NIcholas Drollette, Geneseo Coach. “The girls know we have some things to iron out but overall we’re heading in the right direction. We have some important games coming up in the next two weeks that could play a huge role in the seed we enter the tournament at.”
The Raiders are now 8-2-1 and the Blue Devils are now 6-4-2.
