GENESEO – The Geneseo Blue Devils soundly defeated the Avon Braves 4-0 as they work hard to improve their playoff seedlings heading into upcoming sectional playoffs.
“I was extremely pleased with how well we played today. We possessed the ball well and really controlled the run of play. It was the best team win all year. Everyone top to bottom played well today. Natalie Peraino scored two in the first half and we really just took the cue from the tone she was setting out there. I felt Kat Phillips played the best game I’ve seen out of her in two seasons and Alexa came up big when she was needed to make saves,” stated Nicholas Drollette, Geneseo Coach. “Vicki Finn scored one of the prettiest goals you’ll ever see in the second half from a beautiful end line run. Then to have Jackie Frost score a gritty goal on a near post run into traffic on a corner kick feed from Liz Congdon, that was just icing on the cake.”
