GENESEO – Cal-Mum’s Red Raiders handed the Geneseo Blue Devils a 5-0 home loss Saturday evening.
14 minutes into the first half, senior Rachel Hume scored the first goal for the Raiders, assisted by senior Michaela D’Ambra. Junior Jessica Garland scored off an assist from junior Maddie Shoemaker to make it 2-0. Midway through the second half, Hume scored again assisted by Garland. With ten minutes remaining, junior Adrianna Molisani connected off a pass from Hume to make it 4-0. Junior Claudia Haut scored the final goal for the Raiders off an assist from junior Abby Webster.
“This was a tough loss. We didn’t seem to have many good first touches and were clearly a step behind them in every attempt to win 50-50 balls,” said Head Coach Nicholas Drollette. “Despite the negatives, I was happy with how the girls handled the situation. We spoke about the loss and now we’ll move on. There is no time to dwell when you have games seemingly every other day.”
The Blue Devils next match will be played at Perry on Tuesday, October 7 at 12p.m.
