DANSVILLE — A lightning fast start by the Cal-Mum Red Raiders left the Dansville Mustangs unable to find a rhythm as they were defeated 5-0.
The Red Raiders went into the half with a 4-0 lead with goals by Danielle Molisani, Jessica garland, Rachel Dollard, and Claudia Haut.

The Mustangs played a better 2nd half holding the Raiders to 1 goal scored by Maddie Shoemaker.
“We dug ourselves a hole that was difficult to get out of. We played much stronger in the 2nd half and I was happier with our effort and physicality especially winning 50/50 balls. Cal-Mum has a solid program and team. We knew it was going to be a tough opening game,” stated Arin Belden, Dansville Coach. “Although we are certainly disappointed with the outcome it is early in the season and we have a long ways to go. We just need to continue to work hard in practice, improve each day and learn from this game.”
Katie Chan and Briaunna Henchen split some time in goal with Henchen making 10 saves and letting in 1 goal in just over a half of play.
Cal-mum moves to 1-1 on the season. Dansville is 0-1.
