GIRLS’ BASKETBALL: Mercy Leaves Geneseo in the Dust at 71-39

Mercy High abandoned their namesake Friday night as they leaped ahead of Geneseo by more than 40 points, leaving a final score of 71-39. The first half of the game saw an even competition, with Geneseo only behind Mercy by five points. But by the second half, Mercy found their vigor and tucked Geneseo neatly away.

Lead players for Geneseo were Faith Hainsworth, at 17 points; Kaniya Jackson, at 8 points; and Jessica Ruskauff, at 8 points.
