LIVONIA — In a close 45-40 game, the previously undefeated Letchworth Indians fell to the Livonia Bulldogs.
Senior Maddy Herzog led the Bulldogs, scoring a career high of 27 points.
“Usually, we’ve been intimidated and just circle the arc and we don’t really attack or be aggressive —but tonight everyone was really aggressive,” commented Herzog, on her team’s strong performance.
The Bulldogs kept the score close the entire game, ending the second quarter up 4 points with a score of 30-26. They continued to evade the Indians through the third quarter as well, ending it with a score of 32-30.
The final quarter began with a 2-pointer by the Indians 40 seconds in, tying up the game at 32-32. In an immediate response, Herzog scored a 2-point bucket to bring the score to 34-32 and resume the lead for the rest of the game.
The Bulldogs have a record of 9-8 this season and will return to action Feb. 10 to host the Dansville Mustangs.
