GENESEO — The Geneseo Lady Devils grinded out a win against the Livonia Bulldogs, 38-31, picking up their fourth win of the season. With this divisional win, the Lady Devils picked up a much needed six sectional points.
Despite a close score, the Lady Devils had control most of the game. The Lady Devils led at halftime, 23-13, and kept up the intensity into the second half. Aubrie Johnsen was the leading scorer with 12 points, she also pulled down 15 rebounds, while MaddisonWelch had 9 points and 3 steals for the Lady Devils.
“I thought we were tough tonight and we did a good job of being the more aggressive team,” head coach Paul Hazard said. “We’re really getting better, you can see our progress in the post with their nice strong moves to the basket.”
The Lady Devils (4-5) and are in for a long week of focus and practice. Their next game will be played Tuesday January 15th at Leroy (5-3).
