Girls Basketball: Cal-Mum Wins Section Title in Late Game Comeback

CALEDONIA-MUMFORD–The Caledonia-Mumford Raiders defeated the Dundee Scotsmen in an amazing game to clinch the Section V C2 Title.

The Raiders lead the Scotsmen the entire game until the fourth quarter when they lost the lead with one minute left on the clock going down 40-39. Raider Gill Flint who finished with 21 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assist, was able to hit a three pointer to give the Raiders a 42-40 lead.

After a defensive stop, Raider Sasha Flint was able to hit two clutch free throws to give the Raiders a 4 point cushion. With 5 seconds left on the clock, the Scotsmen were able to cut the deficit down to 2 points but were forced to foul Gill Flint who hit another two free throws to secure the victory.

Caledonia-Mumford’s boys and girls basketball teams have both won First place in this years Section V Tournaments.
