GIRLS BASKETBALL: Cal-Mum Holds Off Geneseo

CALEDONIA — The Cal-Mum Raiders defeated the Geneseo Blue Devils to earn their second win of the season.

Gill Flint led the game with 11 points and 6 rebounds. Flint got a clutch basketball with a minute remains to put the Raiders up by 6 with 1 minute remaining. Geneseo hung tough as Katy Kiehl  made a basket that trimmed the lead down to 4. Flint would go 1 for 2 at the line but Kiehl once again responded as she made two free throws to cut the lead to 3.

Geneseo was unable to get a game-tying basket before time expired.

For the Raiders, Hannah Wade added 9 points and 13 rebounds. The Blue Devils had a balanced scoring attack with Kiehl, Natalie Peraino, and Kat Phillips all notching 8 points. Kiehl also had 7 rebounds.

Cal-Mum is 2-0 and Geneseo is 0-3.
