The Cal-Mum girls’ basketball team won their first Batavia Rotary Tournament in eight years by beating Notre Dame, 51-34, Friday night.
The Raiders jumped out to a 16-2 start and never looked back. Mackenzie Wilson scored eight of her nine points in the team’s strong first quarter.
Gill Flint had a great game for Cal-Mum as she tallied 21 points to go along with eight rebounds and two steals. Flint passed Tim Keeley to become Cal-Mum’s all-time leading scorer in basketball for boys or girls. Flint was named to the All-Tournament Team along with teammates Izzy Slocum and Hannah Wade.
The Raiders improved an already strong record to 9-1 this season while Notre Dame fell to 5-3.
