LAKEVILLE — At the age of 21, Cory Germano, is getting pretty good at getting his mugshot taken. Germano once again has found himself in a cell at the Livingston County Jail, this time after allegedly fleeing Rochester Police and eventually being apprehended in Livingston County.
According to a press release from Livingston County Sheriff Thomas Dougherty, Germano, 21, was charged with Obstructing Governmental Administration in the Second Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree and Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle. Also arrested was Brandon J. Dalcin, 20 years of age from Rochester, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree.
Sheriff Dougherty stated that Officers from the Rochester Police Department (RPD) attempted to stop a vehicle in the City of Rochester and allegedly the operator of the vehicle sped away and evaded police. The RPD obtained the vehicle’s plate number and learned that it was registered to a Rochester Road address in Lakeville. RPD then requested that the Sheriff’s Office attempt to locate the vehicle and as Patrols checked the area several times throughout the shift Livingtson County Sheriff Sergeant Joseph Breu observed the vehicle with matching plates and Germano as the operator and Dalcin as the passenger.
The release further states that Germano allegedly interfered and attempted to prevent Deputies from performing their official functions resulting in the Obstructing Governmental Administration charge. There were also three bags of a substance at this time believed to be cocaine located inside the vehicle in question. Both Germano and Dalcin were additionally charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Dalcin was processed and released with pending court action. Germano was arraigned in front of Livonia Town Justice Mahoney and remanded to the Livingston County Jail in lieu of $3,500 cash bail or $7,000 Secured Bond.
Assisting Sergeant Breu at the scene were Sheriff’s Deputies Moran, Cutting, Sanford, Williams and Flickner.
