GENESEO – Tickets for Geneseo Community Main Street’s Friday wine stroll are moving like wine at happy hour.
Tickets are $15 presale or $20 on the day of. Tickets are available online here. Starting at 5 p.m., each guest receives a free wine glass, raffle entry and a map of Geneseo’s historic downtown to guide them to each stop. Registration is day-of only at ArtSmart Studio, LLC (28 Main Street) and Tompkins Bank of Castile (11 South Street).
Rain or shine, guests will go from business to business to enjoy wines from: Deer Run Winery; Eagle Crest Vineyards; Hunt Country Vineyards on Keuka Lake in the Finger Lakes; Kelby James Russell Wines; Lake Beverage Corporation; Lakewood Vineyards; Lost Vineyards; Original Stump Blower Ciderworks; Red Newt Cellars – FLX Winery; Shoreacre Wines; Victorianbourg Wine Estate; and Zugibe Vineyards.
A portion of sales will go to Letchworth State Park’s autism trail.
Guests can share their selfies and photos while strolling with the hashtag #winetimegeneseo.
Vendors will offer snacks and treats. At Honey Girl Gourmet at 61 Main, East Hill Creamery out of Perry will have cheese samples and Questa Lasagna out of Mount Morris will have appetizers.
Live music will play in several spots on and around Main Street.
Ponder the Giraffe, who will be hosts to a big community concert at Village Park on Saturday, May 6, will play from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Emmelodics, a SUNY Geneseo a cappella group, will perform at 6 p.m. under the marquis of the Palace.
Irish Dancers will play at 6:30 p.m. under the marquis of the Riviera on Center Street.
The Geneseo String Band is expected to make an appearance.
