Janice was born in Syracuse on July 26, 1946 to parents Seward and Bernice Fisk of Cazenovia, where she resided for most of her life with her four daughters.
Janice relocated to Geneseo in 2007 to be closer to her daughters and grandchildren. While in Geneseo, Janice worked for the Livingston County Chamber of Commerce where she was involved with multiple community events.
In her free time, she enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s various sporting events. She was an avid Geneseo Blue Devils Fan and was known on the sidelines as ‘Granny’ by many. She enjoyed traveling to Florida and Colorado as often as possible to visit her other grandchildren.
Janice lived life to the fullest always smiling and laughing. She loved camping in the Adirondacks with her family, hiking and enjoying nature, especially a full moon which she would drag many people unwillingly out of their beds to admire. A gift we will all cherish forever.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff for the exceptional care given by the Palliative and Hospice team and Acute care team at Strong Memorial Hospital.
Friends of Janice, her family and grandchildren may call Sunday, Aug. 20 at Long Point Park in Geneseo, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. A celebration of Janice’s life will be held at a later date early this fall, her favorite time of year. Memorial contributions may be made in ‘Granny Keane’s’ memory to the Geneseo Central School Sports Boosters.
