GENESEO — Cycle Craze on Main Street Geneseo will host Livingston County’s only Cycle For Hope event on Saturday, which raises money for children with long-term health conditions like cancer, heart defects, and lung disease.
All are encouraged to participate or just come out to donate, even those with no experience in cycling. The event takes place on Feb. 6 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Cycle Craze at 109 Main Street.
Although this is only Cycle Craze’s first year participating, they have already raised $1,500 for the cause. Cycle Craze is expecting at least 60 to 70 participants throughout the day.
Members of the Once Again Nut Butter bike racing team will be attending as well as the South of the Thruway Runners from across Livingston County.
All funds raised by the event will be split between Golisano Children’s Hospital at URMC and Camp Good Days.
Golisano Children’s Hospital provides care for more than 84,000 children and their families every year from across New York State.
Camp Good Days is a free-of-charge summer camp that serves children touched by cancer and other life challenges. It has assisted more than 46,200 campers from 22 states and 31 foreign countries.
