GENESEO – Though pre-sale tickets have sold out, tickets are still available online for Geneseo’s third annual May Day wine stroll on Friday.
You can buy tickets for $15 online here or at Crickets Coffee Company until 3:30 p.m. Folks will stroll from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The 11 local wineries and distilleries dot the western New York and Finger Lakes regions. They are Honeoye Falls Distillery, Black Willow Winery, Old Stump Blower Ciderworks, Shoreacre Wines LLC, Victorianbourg Wine Estate, Merritt Estate Winery, Deer Run Winery, Lakewood Vineyards, Winery at Marjim Manor, Zugibe Vineyards and Black Button Distillery. An interactive map of wineries and distilleries can be accessed here.
Registration will be at the Big Tree Inn for tastings at the Big Tree, Art Smart Studio, Crickets Coffee Company, Honeygirl Gourmet, Touch of Grace, Sundance Books, David Mann Jewelers, Envy, Not Dot Shop, and Valley Liquor Shop. Valley Liquor will provide the space for two: one winery and one distillery.
Strollers will receive a complimentary wine glass at each stop and a map of their locations.
With a coupon found online, participants can receive 10% off any purchase from a participating winery at Valley Liquor Shop.
There will also be a raffle for a door prize valued at over $200, which strollers can enter by submitting their ticket stub to B&D Art and Framing.
Another wine stroll is slated for August 12, coordinating with a concert by SUNY Geneseo’s Finger Lakes Opera.
A portion of proceeds from this event will benefit Chances and Changes, a local non-profit organization that serves victims of domestic violence in Livingston County.
