Geneseo Wine Stroll Starts Strong

GENESEO – Main Street Geneseo started a long-anticipated party Friday afternoon as folks lined up in the Palace Theater Marqee to get tickets for the Geneseo Merchants Association (GMA) wine stroll, which officially began at 4p.m.

Several Main Street businesses will open their doors to hundreds of wine and cheese tasters from throughout Livingston County.

“We had 300 people come out for our last wine stroll on May Day this year,” said Bob Davis, president of GMA, “and we had to turn away another 150.”

There will be a concert in the Village Park that same evening, and at 7:00p.m. the Finger Lakes Opera will be starting a show in Wadsworth Auditorium on the SUNY Geneseo campus.
