Recent Car Larcenies
The Geneseo Police Department received numerous complaints of an unknown person(s) entering unlocked vehicles in the Village. The incidents are believed to have occurred on the night of May 20 into the morning hours of May 21. Approximately 8 vehicles have been found to have been entered. If anyone has information that could assist us in this investigation, they are requested to contact the Geneseo Police Department at 243-2420. All information can be treated as confidential.
The Geneseo Police Department would like to remind all our residents to please lock your vehicle and keep valuables out of sight. Unlocked cars and vehicles left with their windows down can be an open invitation to thieves. This awareness is also intended for your home, as well. Please keep your doors and windows secured while you are not home or when you are sleeping. If you notice suspicious activity in your neighborhood, please call the Geneseo Police Department or 911 immediately.
Victor Vargas, age 18 from Perry, NY was charged with disorderly conduct at 4235 Veteran Drive. Vargas is scheduled to appear in Geneseo Village Court on June 11.
Joel Ortega, age 25 from Geneseo, NY was charged with petit larceny at 4235 Veteran Drive. Ortega is scheduled to appear in Geneseo Village Court on June 11.
Daniel Erwin, age 30 from Dansville, NY was charged with false personation, aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree, and unlicensed operation on Lakeville Road. Erwin is scheduled to appear in Geneseo Village Court on July 9.
