GENESEO – U.S. News & World Report has announced that SUNY Geneseo ranks number one in the North Region of the United States in their annual Efficiency Report, rising from second place last year.
The standings for the Efficiency Report are based on the 2015 Best College Rankings compared to the school’s 2013 fiscal year resources per student. According to U.S. News & World Report, the goal of the analysis is to determine efficiency in its ability to produce a high-standard education relative to the amount of money spent.
“Amid restricted growth in many state budgets to fund higher education and increased public scrutiny about the rising cost of going to college, it’s vitally important for many colleges to efficiently spend their limited resources to produce the highest possible educational quality,” said Robert Morse, chief data strategist for U.S. News & World Report.
In the 2015 U.S. News & World Best College Rankings, Geneseo ranked 14 in the Northern Region of the United States, and 146 in Financial Resources per Student.
