GENESEO — Web designer Tom Hill presented a new, updated website design for www.geneseony.org, the government website, to the Geneseo Town Board during its meeting tonight.
Hill described the design as more “web 2.0” than the current website. Web 2.0 sites typically have a more user-friendly design and focus on sharing information in easy ways.
Changes include making the site’s current green sidebars white, as well as eliminating the dropdown menus for a cleaner, easier to navigate look.
The new site also features a banner at the top of the page directing users to where they can donate to the Geneseo K-9 program.
Hill estimated the redesign would cost $300. The Board voted to let Hill make the necessary updates to the site design without exceeding $500.
