Geneseo Police Release Activity Report for Sept. 8 to Sept. 10

GENESEO – The Geneseo Police Department released the following activity report to local media.

Geneseo Police Chief Eric Osganian said that the activity reports are intended to give local residents a direct glimpse into the day-to-day activities of the Geneseo Police Department.

“We want residents to know what our officers are doing in their community,” said Osganian. “These days, we think it’s important that people get to see what the police do in local neighborhoods besides investigating crimes and making arrests, from getting dogs out of hot cars at Walmart to responding to medical emergencies with EMS to visiting someone’s house because they think something doesn’t feel right.”

On September 8, GPD responded to SUNY Geneseo to locate vehicles that were involved in a possible road rage incident on Avon Road. The operators were located and interviewed.

On September 8, GPD, along with GFD, responded to a car/pedestrian accident on Main Street, by Park Street. A pedestrian was walking in the crosswalk and was struck by a vehicle. The operator of the vehicle was issued a citation for failing to yield to a pedestrian. The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

On September 8, GPD, assisted the ambulance at 600 Country Lane with a medical issue.

On September 8, GPD, assisted the ambulance on Meadow Drive with a medical issue.

On September 9, GPD responded to Orchard Street for a loud noise issue. One arrest was made.

On September 9, GPD, along with the ambulance responded to Wadsworth Street for an intoxicated individual who injured himself. The individual was transported to an area hospital and an officer rode in the ambulance because the individual was being uncooperative with EMS personnel.

On September 9, GPD, assisted the ambulance with a medical issue on Meadow Drive.

On September 9, GPD assisted the ambulance on Woodbine Park for a medical issue.

On September 9, GPD responded to Country Lane for a traffic complaint.

On September 9, GPD conducted a traffic stop on South Street and arrested an individual for possession of marihuana.

On September 9, GPD responded to Orchard Street for a loud noise complaint. One arrest was made.

On September 10, GPD stopped a vehicle on Court Street. An individual was arrested for possession of mushrooms, acid, and marihuana.

On September 10, GPD assisted the ambulance with a medical issue at 50 East South Street.

On September 10, GPD responded to SUNY Geneseo for a motor vehicle accident report.

On September 10, GPD responded to Country Lane Apartments for a trespassing report.

On September 10, GPD responded to Country Lane Apartments for a disturbance.

On September 10, GPD received a report of an harassment on Meadow Drive, the Highlands Apartments.

On September 10, GPD responded to Wadsworth Street for people urinating on a neighboring property.
