Geneseo Police Release Activity Report for Jan. 15 to Jan. 18

GENESEO – The Geneseo Police Department released the following activity report to local media.

Geneseo Police Chief Eric Osganian said that the activity reports are intended to give local residents a direct glimpse into the day-to-day activities of the Geneseo Police Department.

“We want residents to know what our officers are doing in their community,” said Osganian. “These days, we think it’s important that people get to see what the police do in local neighborhoods besides investigating crimes and making arrests, from getting dogs out of hot cars at Walmart to responding to medical emergencies with EMS to visiting someone’s house because they think something doesn’t feel right.”

Jan. 15, GPD responded to the area of Livingston Street and North Street for the report of young aged people being loud.

Jan. 15, GPD responded to Second Street for a burglar alarm.

Jan. 15, GPD responded to Meadow Drive for a civil issue.

Jan. 16, GPD stopped a vehicle on Highland Road and the driver was charged with possession of marihuana.

Jan. 17, GPD responded to Orchard Street for a check the welfare complaint.

Jan. 17, GPD stopped a vehicle on Crossett Road and the driver was wanted on a bench warrant from the Sheriff’s Office.

Jan. 17, GPD received a report of a domestic on Woodbine Park. One arrest was made for criminal obstruction of breathing, criminal mischief, and endangering the welfare of a child.
