Geneseo Central Superintendent Tim Hayes says that the employee, whose name is not being released due to the sensitivity of the incident and issue, was not arrested and did not harm anyone, and the police were called simply to ensure the safety of the employee and people around them while the situation was investigated.
“The employee was making comments that were very much out of character,” said Hayes. “We were concerned for the employee’s safety and health. They did not seriously threaten anyone at school.”
Traffic to and from the school resumed as normal during the incident.
