GENESEO – A local resident was arrested for allegedly possessing child pornography as the result of a joint investigation by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office and the Geneseo Police Department.
According to a press release from Sheriff Thomas Dougherty, Paul Baker, 33, was charged with Possessing an Obscene Sexual Performance by a Child, an E felony, for having multiple child pornography photographs stored on his cell phone.
According to New York State penal law section 263.11, a person is guilty of possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child when, knowing the character and content thereof, he knowingly has in his possession or control any obscene performance which includes sexual conduct by a child less than sixteen years of age.
Baker was arraigned in the Town of Leicester before Judge Richard White. Baker was remanded to the custody of the Sheriff and was turned over to the Livingston County Jail on $10,000 cash bail.
