GENESEO — All Livingston County school’s passed their budgets for the 2018-19 school year including Geneseo Central School District’s which has largest percentage increase.
ivonia had the second greatest increase at 3.3 percent Keshequa had the greatest decrease at 8 percent.
According to the 2017-18 enrollment numbers along with the 2018-19 budget, York has the highest estimated cost per student with $23,755 and Keshequa has the lowest with $7,407. The average cost across the county is $18,684. Caledonia-Mumford is the only school district reached out to that gave the Genesee Sun their exact number of $10,724 for general ed and $28,426 for special ed.
Here is a list of the budgets passed and board members that were voted in:
Avon voted and passed on a budget of $20,267,541. The vote was 289-28. Also, Beth Peck was voted in to serve a three-year term on the Board of Education by a vote of 231-84.
Dansville agreed to a budget of $31,264,658.
Mount Morris approved a budget of $15,088,548 in a 206-71 vote.
Caledonia-Mumford approved their budget of $18,131,118 in a 213-50 vote.
Keshequa approved a budget of $17,844,969 in a 209-45 vote.
Livonia approved a budget of $34,962,545 in a 375-142 vote.
York approved a budget of $16,771,418 in a 254-59 vote.
