Geneseo Girls Soccer Falls to a Strong Keshequa Offense

GENESEO — The Lady Blue Devils suffered a 6-0 loss to the Keshequa Indians tonight.

After a strong goal by Keshequa, ten minutes in, Geneseo’s defense held strong for the rest of the half against a relentless Keshequa offense and ended the half at a close 1-0.  However, three minutes into the second half, Keshequa scored a quick goal and didn’t stop there.

Geneseo’s coach Bugbee explained, “They were a strong opponent. We tried to play a defensive game, to keep them away from the box, which we were pretty succsessful at in the first half. It was just too many shots, too hard to defend.”

Keshequa’s well executed passing had the Devils chasing the ball and with only a few subs, they were tired. Keshequa scored 4 more solid goals to finish the game while Geneseo tried to hold together an overworked defense.  

Geneseo looks to improve their record this Monday at home, 6:30pm, against Avon.
