GENESEO – A low-speed rear-end collision near the stop light on 20A and Main Street surprisingly sent two people to the hospital Friday afternoon.
According to first responders on scene, the driver of a Kia Spectra bent down to pick up a soda near the Post Office approaching the stoplight at about 4:40 p.m. and rear-ended an SUV that was stopped in traffic.
Both the driver and the one passenger of the SUV were transported to Wyoming County Community Hospital.
The driver of the Spectra was not injured.
Firefighters and an ambulance crew with Geneseo Fire and Ambulance responded to the scene alongside Livingston County Ambulance and the Geneseo Police Department.
