LEICESTER – A pair of Geneseo residents were arrested Thursday and charged with several felony Grand Larceny and Possession of Stolen Property, and misdemeanor drug possession after a woman allegedly stole multiple handguns and handed them to a friend, intending that they be sold for drugs in Rochester.
According to a press release from Livingston County Sheriff Thomas Dougherty, Seana Valentine, 23, and Fernando Limardo, 25, of Geneseo, were arrested after an investigation by the Sheriff’s Office revealed that Valentine had allegedly stolen handguns from a relative and gave them to Limardo to sell for drugs in the City of Rochester.
During the arrest, it was discovered that Limardo was in possession of heroin at the time of his arrest. Limardo is scheduled to appear in the Village of Geneseo at a later date to answer that additional drug charge of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh degree, an A misdemeanor.
The Sheriff’s Investigators also discovered that Limardo had burglarized another home, this one in the Village of Mount Morris, a crime which the Mount Morris Police Department had been investigating. The investigation alleges that Limardo successfully stole a gun from that residence and later sold it in Rochester.
Valentine was arrested on Felony Grand Larceny charges and arraigned in the Town of Leicester Court before Judge White. She was released on her own recognizance and will appear back in court at a later date.
