Geneseo Central School to Build New Bus Garage

GENESEO – Geneseo Central School has formally proposed the building of a new bus garage on school grounds.

Though the plan is still in its infancy and there has been no official vote to approve the project, the school has informed the Village of Geneseo that they would like to spearhead the operation pending its approval.

“This is a Geneseo School capital project,” Mayor Richard Hatheway told the Village Board at Monday night’s meeting. “They want to build on Susan Kelley’s land.”

The proposed location for the new garage is at the north end of school grounds on land currently owned by Susan Kelley of Big House Stables.

Village officials say that since the proposed site is over the border of the Town of Geneseo, it may become necessary to annex that site into the Village so that the building will be able to use Village water.
