GENESEO – Six teachers officially earned their tenure at Geneseo Central Schools on May 3.
According to a press release from Geneseo Central Schools, tenure appointments were approved for the following teachers: Ryan Allen (Physical Education), Lauren Palmer (Special Education), Sean Perry (Music), Grace Tulowiecki (English), Meghan Wheeler (Elementary Education) and Sarah Wilcox (Elementary Education).
“The standard for tenure in our District is very high,” said Geneseo Central Schools Superintendent Tenure is by no means automatic – it must be earned. Teachers must be highly skilled instructors who are experts in their content areas. They must also demonstrate the very highest levels of professionalism.
All of the teachers will continue their in the coming school year.
“These six candidates deserve their tenure appointments,” said Hayes, “and it is in the best interest of our students that they continue as part of our professional staff.”
