GENESEO – A Geneseo resident is now facing more criminal charges for allegedly confronting and resisting police who were assisting an ambulance crew with an allegedly intoxicated individual at an apartment complex in the Village.

Shawn Markham, 44, of Geneseo, was charged with misdemeanor Resisting Arrest, misdemeanor Obstruction of Governmental Administration and Harassment in the Second Degree.
Officers were dispatched to the Country Lane Apartments for a report of ‘an intoxicated female banging on apartment doors.’
Geneseo Police Officers allege that Markham confronted them while they were assisting EMS with the allegedly intoxicated female. They accuse Markham of pushing an officer and resisting arrest.
Markham was out on bail for misdemeanor Assault in the Third Degree, Petit Larceny and Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree for his alleged involvement in the theft of $18 during a heated confrontation with a person on Country Lane in the Village.
Geneseo Justice Thomas Bushnell arraigned Markham and ordered him held at the Livingston County Jail on $500 cash or $1,000 bond.
