We knew it was only a matter of time, and then bang, the GeneseeSun.com surged to a record level of readership, with over 130,000 unique viewers reading our site in the month of June.
Livingston County has a total population of approximately 60,000 people, and we see that our traffic is coming from not just our County but across the region. Our system handled the surge in traffic smoothly.
Two stories in June really went viral. Oddly enough, these were both animal stories: one about a yellow timber rattlesnake sighting in Letchworth State Park and the other about a giant 560-pound bear caught by DEC trappers in Wayland.
The best part of all of this is for those who advertise with us. They just hit the jackpot for branding exposure. Our prices stay the same no matter what our traffic is.
