LIVINGSTON COUNTY – Genesee Valley Motors invites the public to learn behind-the-scenes tricks to car selling, car buying and vehicle maintenance while raising money for the United Way of Livingston County.
The seminar, called ‘Under the Hood,’ is on Dec. 13 at 6:30 p.m. at the Geneseo Riviera.
“We go over all the things you need to know when you’re buying a car or when you’re getting a car repaired,” said Dom Genova, owner of Genesee Valley Motors. “How does a dealer tell you that you get zero down when it’s really $3,000 down, or that you get free oil changes for life, or free brakes for life? It’s sort of like if a magician were to say ‘this is how I cut the lady in half.'”
Genova will speak alongside car repair shop owner and Ethie award winner Jerry Elman.
For every $5 donated at the door, Genova says that he will donate $10 to the United Way of Livingston County, which in turn supports 20 local charities.
“It’s going to be good for everybody,” said Genova. “You’ll learn something and have some fun.”
