MUMFORD – In honor of the brave work and dedicated service provided by our region’s dedicated firefighters, police officers, emergency medical technicians, and many others, the museum will celebrate First Responders Day on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015.
According to a press release from Genesee Valley Motors, the dealership, encompassing Genesee Valley Chrysler Dodge Jeep and Genesee Valley Ford, is sponsoring the first ever First Responders Day at the Genesee Country Museum.
“I believe that it’s important to give back to the community that has been so good to me,” said Dom Genova, founder of Genesee Valley Motors. “First responders are in the front lines of keeping us safe and secure in all of our communities, often risking their lives for us. It’s for that reason that I would like to show my appreciation by sponsoring “First Responders Day.”
First responders and their immediate families will be admitted free of charge with appropriate ID during the museum’s regular museum hours of 10 a.m to 4 p.m.
Genesee Country Village & Museum features costumed interpreters in restored historic buildings, breathing life into an authentic 19th-Century Country Village.
