PERRY – Going to the Dogs Rescue knows that Suzy will make a big, loving addition to a quiet family. Suzy once lived in a loving home, but her owners had massive surgery and could no longer properly care for a dog of her size.

Suzy is used to living with another dog, and cats, and having older children around, but her need for meeting new people on her own terms makes her best suited for a quieter home. Suzy would do best in a home with no small children, and possibly a single female dog to share her common strengths who is patient and not demanding of instant affection.
Suzy is a goofy girl, pawing for play time, hopping around to catch your attention, and happily play bowing when she wants her toy. She likes to sit on the couch with her front feet planted on the floor, as if she is a human.
She does likes to have her crate handy for times that she wants to retreat and nap, or when you are not home to supervise her. She has also invented a unique game we call “treat and retreat.” Her foster parents at Going to the Dogs will gladly show you how to play.
Suzy doesn’t shed or drool a lot other than during mealtimes. However, she still weighs more than 120 pounds, and eats and drools more than a dog half her size.
