GENESEO – Lucky Horse Shoe horse show was presented by the Genesee Valley Pony Club Saturday morning. Competitors of a wide age range came out to compete in the morning heat, featuring Leg Up Stables, High Standard, and Genesee Valley Pony Club.
Lucky Horse Shoe is annually located on Wheeler Green, off of Nations Road. The show featured to arenas, judged by Louis Snyder and Danielle Argenta. Events were held on flat and over fences.
“It’s a great opportunity,” said Geneseo Equestrian Team and Leg Up owner Kim Stanford, “other competitors are always friendly and the members learn how to handle their horses in a new situation.”
Wheeler Green on Nations Road offers the competition a scenic backdrop of the Genesee Valley. Young girls and their ponies stood beside high school and college-age ladies, looking fierce in cross country schooling vests (think motocross protective vests). Many ribbons were awarded; there were classes for competitors of all skill levels, ranging from Low and Slow courses to Open Hunter and Equitation courses.
Lucky Horse Shoe horse show created a fun, safe atmosphere for all competitors today.
