The Livingston County Historical Society (LCHS) teams up with the Association for the Preservation of Geneseo (APOG) and Wadsworth Library to sponsor a series of FREE outdoor movie nights on the lawn of the Livingston County Museum located at 30 Center Street in the Village of Geneseo. The first movie, Night at the Museum, will begin at sunset, just after 8:30pm, on Friday July 29th. The second movie will be a sequel to the first, Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian on August 5th at sunset. The final movie in the 2022 Summer Series will be a classic, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, scheduled for August 19th
Bring a blanket, chairs, snacks, or beverages and enjoy a summer evening. Water and freshly-made popcorn will be available for purchase. While admission is free, donations to the Livingston County Historical Society will be gratefully accepted.
LCHS Museum Administrator Anna Kowalchuk said “During the pandemic when we were unable to host indoor programming, we thought to revive the idea of outdoor movies on the Museum’s green space to stay connected with our constituents. We used to just hang sheets on the side of the museum, but with the support of a generous anonymous donor, LCHS has been able to purchase a professional screen and projector equipment. This movie series provides attendees with a COVID-19 safe way to find historical entertainment.”
