MOUNT MORRIS — Four people have been arrested for the theft, vandalism, and possession of stolen property from the Mount Morris School.
According to a press release from the Livingston County Sheriff’s department David Bonner, 20, Cameron Hansen, 19, Marquis Morris, 24, and Belinda Moulthrop, 22, were charged with various crimes related to the incident.
Allegedly, Bonner and Hansen entered the school after climbing through a window looking for unlocked doors. The suspects were caught on camera where Officer Jeremy Blair recognized the suspects and later arrested the duo at the Greenway Motel outside of the Village were a large portion of the stolen items were recovered after they were interviewed by Major Matthew Burgess and Chief Ken Mignemi. They were charged with Burglary 3rd, Criminal Mischief 4th, Grand Larceny 4th, Criminal possession of stolen property 4th, they are currently being held in the Livingston County Jail on $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.
After further investigation Moulthrop and Morris were arrested for purchasing stolen items from Bonner and Hansen were the items were located by investigators Brian Applin and Ron Huff in the City of Rochester.
Mount Morris Police Chief Ken Mignemi would like to credit these arrests to the joint efforts of his department and the Livingston County Sheriff and the excellent team work between the departments. Also assisting in the investigation were Livingston County Sheriff’s Deputy Chad VanAuken and Officer Jacob Zangerle.
